Trefis is a U.S.-based financial technology company that provides customizable fundamental stock analysis of companies and quantifies qualitative information and business news in terms of its impact on the stock price. One of the earliest employees at Trefis, I joined the team in 2010 and am responsible for the coverage of 19 global financial institutions including some of the world’s largest banks and asset management firms. Over the years, I have published nearly 2,000 insightful research notes that analyzed the impact of macroeconomic trends, industry trends and company dynamics on individual firms. Many of these analyses have been syndicated to leading financial websites such as Forbes, Seeking Alpha and Nasdaq. I am also actively involved in the process of recruiting new analysts for the team.

FinIQ Consulting Pvt. Ltd., Pune (2010)

At FinIQ, I independently implemented an Interest-Rate Swap module in Excel that accurately determined payment schedule and individual payout values for any combination of ISDA-defined market conventions for swaps. Besides this, I also worked on decomposing and pricing exotic options based on term-sheets used by client banks.

Motorola India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore (2006-08)

I worked as a part of the Messaging/Email team for the Linux-Java phone platform under Motorola’s Mobile Devices Group. I implemented 4 new features that enhanced/added functionalities to the MotoROKR U9 and MotoROKR E8 phones. I was awarded the ‘Spot Bravo’ prize in recognition of my contribution to the team in the email domain and also achieved the ‘Yellow Badge’ status in Six Sigma quality training during this period.
